Welcome to Mahj Club! With over three decades of mahjong experience and a deep passion for the game, we specialize in teaching American Mah Jongg as well as facilitating private parties, lessons, workshops, corporate events, social play, charitable fundraisers, and retreats.

Meet the Team
Sara Linden,
Founder & Instructor
Sara is an expert on mahjong styles, mahjong history, and its connection to Jewish culture. Sara has played since her teens, has taught mahjong classes for sixteen years, and is a Certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor. She is available to book as a keynote speaker for your next mahjong retreat, mixer, or tournament. Looking for a podcast guest? Sara speaks about building community through mahjong play, the wellness aspect of playing parlor games, her own story of combating loneliness and making friends through teaching, and playing this tile game that never loses its challenge.

Mahj Club Instructor
Carol met Sara in 2022 while taking the Mahj Club Beginner Series. She continued playing weekly, teaching her family and friends, and taking every opportunity to be at the table. As Mahj Club grew, Sara trained Carol in the Mahj Club Method, and now she’s Mah Jongg obsessed too! With decades of experience in education, teaching Mah Jongg has become the perfect blend of her passions.
