Mahj Club and Long Beach Moms are hosting a Sunday mahjong series at The Small Market: four afternoons to learn the game or join us for social play.

Come for one afternoon or all four! Come solo or with friends; no experience needed. Ways to play:

Intro to Mahj: Our beginner-friendly instruction – you'll learn the fundamentals of American mahjong (tile recognition, strategy, and rules), and then jump into real gameplay. Limited seats available.

Social Play: Already know your way around the tiles? Join a table with an instructor on hand for questions and tips.

Social Play Four-Date Pass: Lock in your Social Play seat for all four Sundays at a discounted rate.

Ready to level up your Mah Jongg game? This Strategy Workshop builds on the basics taught in Intro to Mahj and the Mahj Club Beginner Series.

We will focus on identifying Charleston passes, confidently selecting a winning hand, and maintaining strong momentum throughout the game.

Spot coaching will be offered during play. Please bring your NMJL Card.

Kick off the season of miracles with our annual mahjong holiday party! Whether you're a seasoned player joining us for Social Play or a beginner joining our Intro Workshop (limited spots available), we'd love to have you.
